Holiday Table

Happy Friday my lovies. Are you gearing up to style your space for D’s HOLIDAY TABLE CHALLENGE? I hope so because we have a $500 shopping spree and holiday feature waiting just for you! I know the holidays can get hectic so we’re getting a jump on the season with a visit to holiday seasons past – pulling tabletop inspiration from designers, bloggers, shops and more. Now scroll on, get inspired and consider setting your table a bit early this year for a chance to win D’s challenge. Who knows… you just might win! Above – Tabletop design by Athena Calderone. Holiday Table MONC XIII

MIX & MATCH – MONC XII’s founder Natasha Esch mixes blue and white Hermes china with white Bernardaud dishes and a black leather charger to great effect. A pretty perfect color scheme for Chanukah.

Holiday Table Coco Kelly

RETRO PRETTY – Casandra of Coco & Kelly anchored this sweet holiday table with Hervé Van der Straeten’s 1930s/40s inspired Etoiles china collection. Photo by Belathee Photography.

Holiday Table by Justina Blakeney

BOHEMIAN CHIC – Artist/blogger Justina Blakeney proves you can make a stunning holiday table by pulling from what you have. The ‘tablecloth’ is composed of three freely-draped scarves, the table runner is a swath of leftover wallpaper and the china and cutlery are simple daily pieces. As for the adorable brass deer… those were an Ebay bargain. Photo by Jennifer Chong.

SUCCULENT RUNNERS – If there’s one trend in tablescaping these days, it’s organic runners – from pine garlands and swathes of magnolia leaves to the succulents shown above – keeping it low and lush makes for better (unobstructed) dinner conversation. MAN UP – Clean and graphic with a hint of cowboy – no shop combines dinnerware better than MONC XIII. The striped dish is from the  Hemisphere Vinyl collection, the textured white plate from the Ecume line and the leather charger by Sol y Luna. Photo ©2013 Eric Striffler.

WOODLAND MAGIC – So romantical! While the rustic elegance of this tabletop may seem intimidating to recreate… a simple runner of ferns and lots of candles is all there is to it. Photo by Leo Patrone via Domaine.

LUSH ABANDON – Burst pomegranates, organic accoutrement, all set against a canvas of black – designer Athena Calderone of EyeSwoon, sets a holiday table to end all tables. Photo by Choloe Crespi via Harper’s Bazaar.

So glad you liked them. I’m an undercover holiday addict so that makes two of us!

Table settings make me drool and anxious for Thanksgiving. Great table ware.
