It never hurts to revisit an old friend, so here is a favorite from a couple of years back -This Moscow apartment is the work of interior designer and glass artist Kate Hume. Not only did she select and specify the furnishings, she created much of the glass art seen throughout the apartment. Additionally, a number of the furnishings were made by her husband, Frans van der Heijden. The project, as described by Kate, “A pied-a-terre in the heart of the city, this apartment is an oasis of calm, comfort and luxury for a busy couple and their three children. Using a subtle palette of taupe and grey, the metallic highlights reflect the gold of Moscow’s architectural wonders. The space is a perfect showcase for the client’s collection of 20th Century Russian art.”
