THIS SMALL…goes big mentality is perfectly reflected in the recent debut of their second boutique, located in a heritage listed, jewlbox-of-a-space in the heart of Melbourne. |

TO HELP BRING…their new boutique to life, Monk drew upon their love for emerging talent, to tap local design firm Flack Studio. Monk’s brief was a simple one, carry over the amiable atmosphere of their Brunswick East shop to create a more urban, minimal interior with maximal function. |

WORKING IN…synergy with the site’s innately charming details, Flack balanced ornate columns and cornices with an edited selection of clean lined, yet impactful, pieces – navigating strict preservation rules with an emphasis on free-standing elements and lighting attached to furnishings. In the end, the results landed spot on brand… maybe small, but oh so big. |
