The all female design trio behind De Intuìtiefabriek have been busy since we last visited their portfolio back in August of 2013 and their latest piece of furniture – Composition – has even brought a little testosterone into the fold with a Bob Waardenburg collaboration.

Taking its inspiration from china cabinets of old, Composition explores the formal tradition of storing and displaying precious pieces behind glass and brings it into the 21st century. The resultant simple construction of ash wood and smoke glass cabinet comes complete with its own 12 piece set of tableware – each piece of which is imbued with artist Bob Waardenburg’s hand drawn line work. For the purposes of display, the tableware was arranged in exploded (un-nested) form. When nested, each grouping takes the form of an abstract lotus.
