De Intuïtiefabriek is a multidisciplinary Netherlands based design studio founded by Amba Molly, Eefiene Bolhuis and Eva Gevaert. From slipcasting porcelain, to blowing glass, to bending wood, the all female design trio find common ground in their passion for materials, craftsmanship and the act of making things. The pieces you see here are currently part of limited edition runs, all available exclusively through Priveekollektie Contemporary Art | Design.

Excavations (2011) – the layers of this wood, glass and brass piece shift and slide to reveal the treasures held within. Photos by Khanh Ly.

Saffier (2013) – inspired by gemstones and the art of goldsmithing, the blue black table base acts as the setting to the octagonal, facet edged sapphire glass top.

Virtu-Ornatu (2012) – A dressing table for the ages – Beneath a layer of smoke glass, walnut drawers lay in wait to be filled with small treasures. Just above, a walnut bridge provides a shelf to hold porcelain containers, a small hand mirror and a large bronzed one.

Virtu-Curio (2012) – A series of three small wooden drawers encased in smoke glass and accented with copper details slide and shift to offer varying degrees of display or concealment for your small treasures. Loving the material mix on this one!
