FEELS LIKE FALL: Ginnifer Goodwin’s Hollywood Home

While this little gem of a home made the blog rounds back in January, I thought it a perfect Autumn share and so have held onto it until just the right time. Set in the Whitley Heights area of L.A.’s Hollywood Hills, this nearly 100 year-old two bedroom property is the home base of actress Ginnifer Goodwin. You may recognize her from Big Love or more recently from her role as Snow White in the television series Once Upon a Time. A Memphis native, Goodwin purchased the light filled house back in 2007 and has been making it a home, with the help of designer Amy Kehoe, ever since.

In an interview with Elle Decor, Goodwin states, “it’s all about balance… I pick one thing to feature… like in the kitchen table’s bright yellow pop.”

A book collection punctuated by a glass encased purple geode.

High hung green velvet drapes and a large custom made mauve ottoman add life and color to the living room.

A small office area, complete with a mix match of antique and mid-century furnishings.

Goodwin, sitting in the “salon”, surrounded by old photos of her vaudevillian great-aunt.

The entry to Goodwin’s charming cottage is papered in a 150-year-old blue-and-cream William Morris wall-covering. Nestled within the paper’s flourishes, lie tiny woodland animals – perfect for a modern-day Snow White!
