Based on the concept of material interacting with gravity – “Mirror Mono’s” round mirror separates from its oval frame, suggesting the weight of the piece has caused the wood to droop, leaving its metal point of attachment clearly visible.

Grégoire de Lafforest studied at the ESAG in Paris and currently practices as an interior architect and designer. He has worked for the likes of Bruno Moinard, Noah Duchaufour Lawrence and Gilles & Boissier, where he built a portfolio that includes boutiques for Cartier and Hermès, a mansion for Veuve Clicquot, and the restaurant Ciel de Paris.
