Made for Lapicida, this solid marble table obtains its fine carved detailing via the use of CNC Shaping Mill technology.

 

 

 

Making a return appearance at this year’s Maison & Objet were these stylish beauties by Ora-ïto. Christened the Giotto helmet, these Kvadrat fabric wrapped headphones were influenced by furniture design and take on a deliberately architectural silhouette. Love them.

 

 

 

Winner of the Interior Innovation Award 2014 , Polygon Chair was designed by Numen / For Use for the young Croatian company, Prostoria. The design of the chair was based on the modernist typology of modest dimensions and its resultant steel frame form walks a fascinating balance between old school mid century and thoroughly contemporary design.

 

 

Made from silvered blown glass set upon a cork base, the Wave stool was designed in 2013 by designers Dan Yeffet and Lucie Koldova. It is available in a variety of sizes, colors and finishes, including matte and transparent.

 

 

The Paradise seating collection was originally designed in 1956-57 by the female modernist Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist. The the iconic line, which includes two upholstered chairs and a sofa, is now getting a new lease on life as the Denmark based company Gubi has recently acquired the rights to produce it. Shown here is the Eva chair. All three pieces will be available on gubi.com and at select retailers by Autumn of 2014.

 

 

The Paris based company Le Deun has specialized in electronic, low energy lighting design since 1997. Their collection, which centers around circles, continues to expand to include simple polygons such as the Hexa series. Shown above, three of their classic table lamps. Simple and beautiful.
