Located on a secluded lot in Palm Beach, Florida lies the 3,900 square foot home of author/photographer Kelly Klein and her young son Lukas. The modestly sized one story build was an 11 month process from start to finish and was a true collaboration between David Piscuskas of 1100 Architect and the home owner. From the street, the white stucco waterfront home is shielded from view by a careful combination of strategic landscaping and a complete lack of windows. In the back, the house opens through a series of large sliding teak-framed glass doors to a sheltered patio, a yard complete with a minimally gorgeous European-edged pool and 130 feet worth of water front views.

The main living space combines kitchen, dining and living room into one central volume. A palette of crisp white walls and cement and limestone flooring is warmed by a combination of earthy cedar ceilings and teak framed windows and doors.

In the living room – the sofa is from Restoration Hardware, the lounge chairs are Hans J. Wegner and the coffee table is vintage 1970s Antonio Citterio. In the dining area – the custom oak table is by Lars Bolander and the Workstead light fixture is available through DSHOP.

The large sheltered patio is outfitted with a small fireplace and an Urban Zen sofa.

In the backyard, the limestone framed pool was designed by 1100 Architect, while the landscape designer Steven Marc Dauber continued the home’s minimalist scheme with an open grass yard and a few artfully placed palm trees. Heaven.
