I recently stumbled upon this little gem of an interior designed by Karl Fournier and Olivier Marty of the Paris and Marrakesh based design firm Studio Ko. Located on Rue de la Sourdière, this Parisian apartment is just the sort of thing I absolutely love and now… I will tell you why.

First, the bold but controlled use of color – That rich blue hallway, the punch of green tile in the kitchen, the warm woods and that mottled rosey rug… all such gorgeous combinations.

Add in some choice furnishings like those antique chairs in the living room, the mid century modern desk in the bedroom, and of course the always fabulous Michael Anastassiades Tube Chandelier in the entry… well in my book it doesn’t get much better.

To top it all off, I have to give a nod to the designers’ infusion of just the right amount of quirk for incorporating the jungle style wallpaper (see similar from Cole & Son) set against limey green plaid cushions and there you have it. Or as they might say in France, voilà!
