As a follow up to our Richard Brendon feature earlier this week, I’ve gathered three more tableware stars from this year’s Maison & Objet festivities. From the most casual melamine to the finest bone china, there should be a little something for everyone.

Inspired by the ‘action paintings’ pioneered by Jackson Pollock in the 1950s, Avant, Ici, Maintenant (Before, Here, Now) brings drip painting to the modern day table with its controlled yet organically stippled dinnerware. The collection is available through Non Sans Raison in cobalt blue, coral, or platinum.

Who would have guessed melamine could be so glamorous? This iBride collection of bowls and plates was inspired by a picnic in the Bucasso forest. Each piece combines lush hydrangeas, roses, azulejos and/or a mysterious female presence to great effect. When stacked appropriately, the vibrantly blue dish set creates a pristine, white vase-like form.

MY CHINA! Ca’ d’Oro tableware by Michael Sieger for the German company FÜRSTENBERG made its debut at this year’s Maison & Objet. The collection combines simple geometries and architectural influences to create a minimal yet bold set of plates and serve-ware.
