Following last Saturday’s post on on A+B Kasha, I received a number of inquiries about the wire stools featured in one of their Paris kitchens. Curious myself, I tracked down the information and today… voilà – I introduce the Angel stool by Denmark based architect Gry Holmskov.
Inspired by the annual rings of a tree, these minimalist stools are composed of a series of bent steel rods. Light and airy in form, the structure derives stability and support from the the narrowest point of the stool where the rods contract. As for the divine name, that came later upon discovery of the stool’s angel-shaped-shadow.
As luck would have it, Holmskov launched a bar height version of the 2008 designed Angel just last month, pictured above.
Angel is produced by addinterior in Denmark. For a list of distribution areas near you, visit their site at addinterior.dk. The stools are also available directly through Gry Holmskov.
