The London based accessories and tableware brand Minimalux has just joined the furniture design scene with the launch of their latest piece – Hash – a scaffold like shelving structure built from 33 precision milled solid brass or stainless steel rods.

Seemingly pulling from the popular culture of Twitter with both the item’s name and form, Minimalux’s founder Mark Holmes elaborates on the company’s move to up-size their carryings in a recent interview with Dezeen, “We’ve been developing ideas to scale up Minimalux without compromising quality and brand ideology for a while… In the process we’ve created a series of larger designs that maintain the same material and formal values we’ve worked very hard to build and communicate. Hash is the beginning of this and marks the introduction of a genre we’ll be referring to within our collection as ‘engineered furniture’.”

Tying in with the materiality of the company’s other product offerings, the new bookcase’s non-lacquered brass option allows for the development of an attractive natural patina over time (should you choose not to polish it). Hash is available directly through the Minimalux website and currently ships within the UK and abroad.
