Born in Helsinki, Finland in 1983, Katriina Nuutinen recently received her masters in design in 2011. Just prior, in 2010, she founded her eponymous design studio Muotoilustudio Katriina Nuutinen. Already the recipient of design accolades, including the title of Finnish talent of the year 2011, Katriina currently specializes in the design and creation of glass and ceramic objects. Absolute eye candy! Enjoy.

Lyhty (Lantern) 2010 – a candle lantern made of mold-blown glass and steel.

Hely 2009 – named “the most beautiful product” at the 2009 Stockholm Furniture Fair, this jewel like pendant light was Katriina’s breakthrough piece. Created in an edition of 200, the Hely lamp is now part of the collection at The Finnish Glass Museum in Riihimäki.
