Well dream and gaze no longer my friends, because renowned lighting designer, Lindsey Adelman, has put together 4 instruction kits to allow you to make your very own Adelman-esque chandeliers, table lamps and sconces in the comfort of your own home (minus the blowtorch of course). So how do you get started? Link to the “You Make It” line on Lindsey’s site, pull up the instructions, order the parts and you are on your way to creating your own super cool and impressive looking lighting! The two best parts of all of this are 1- experimenting with these off the shelf parts is exactly how Lindsey got her start in lighting design and 2- the insturctions allow for a degree of customization – so your light design can truly be yours. Oh, and for those disappointed by the lack of fire action… cheer up, because some of the instructions call for the use of a hairdryer or lighter instead.
