LONDON…

based designer Jamie Blake of Blakes London recently turned out one very unique kitchen for a Notting Hill family of three. At once forward looking and timeless, the space stands as a sort of un-kitchen – with its pared-down island reading more like sculpture and its bespoke cabinetry designed to conceal nearly all signs of the rooms function…

BLAKE’S APPROACH…

flows from a burgeoning trend in kitchen design where the telltale signs of the room’s function are tucked away to allow for a more holistic experience of aesthetics, space and function.

OUTSIDE IN…

Created with the kind of care often reserved for more formal furniture, the cabinetry’s exteriors were designed to tie in with the home’s original Victorian architecture while the interiors were designed to shine just as bright with contrasting walnut linings and drawers.

CAREFULLY CHOSEN…

eclectic accents including a sculptural bronze faucet, an antique framed textile, and twin Modo Chandeliers in both kitchen and dining room further support Blake’s forward looking approach to kitchen design, with a more holistic approach to traditionally distinct spaces.
