KNOWN FOR…
its superb craftsmanship and timeless sense of design, the made-to-measure furniture and kitchen brand Obumex has just debuted a delightful new gem. The multi use space sits nestled in the history-rich city of Roeselare, Belgium, at the far end of a soaring marble corridor. Equal parts beautiful and unexpected, the newly designed nook successfully turns an awkward interior cul-de-sac into an inviting destination.

THE DESIGN TEAM…maintained a flow of light and expanse between room and hall with a glass partition. While the steel frame serves to highlight the new destination, it also works in tandem with the partial height built-in to scale down and define the room on a more cozy, human scale.

AS FOR THE…
palette, options were kept to a minimum maintaining a strict focus on noble materials, beginning with a striking marble focal point. Blond wood built-ins frame out the stone then spill onto the floor in a herringbone pattern. Woven rush seating echoes this golden scheme while contrasting black accents bring impact and energy. The end result is a magical destination equally suited for dining, conferencing, or simply congregating for a drink prepared at that gorgeous marble-clad wet bar.
