Truly a successful melding of the great Venetian glass blowing traditions of the past and the LED technology of today – the Empatia collection designed by Carlotta De Bevilacqua for Artemide made an appearance at the Euroluce exhibition at this year’s Milan Design Week.

Hand blown by master craftsmen, the balance between transparency and opacity of each glass dome is carefully controlled to minimize glare and maximize light efficiency.

At the heart of each dome lies a transparent pipe which conducts light from the fixture’s base to the apex of the dome.

Empatia is available in three sizes and three fixture styles (table, pendant, and surface mounted).
