I know it’s been barely 10 days since D posted on Anagrama’s El Montero restaurant but sometimes one share is just not enough. And so today Anagrama is back with what is possibly the coolest little pastry boutique in all of Mexico – Catalina Fernández.
Detail of the gold foil wallpaper that lines the back wall.
The white enameled brick walls are meant to exude a sense of spotlessness, softened by a sense of rusticity and old fashioned charm.
Anagrama filled the shop with packages of sugar, flower, and yeast to create the feel of a warehouse kitchen.
Additional shelving was installed above the refrigerator to capitalize on and emphasize the unusually high ceilings.
Catalina Fernández began as a home bakery in 1988. Having since grown into a widely successfull high end pastry company, they approached Anagrama with a request to upgrade and bring some sophistication to their brand. The revamp included everything from the interior design of the San Pedro shop (show above) to the business cards, product packaging and more (shown below).
Anagrama chose a simple sans serif typeface with longevity in mind and to keep things neutral to allow for compatibility with future brand evolution.
The packaging was tattooed with an intricate pattern in gold foil hot stamping.
Do you love it? I especially love the gold hot stamping detail on the boxes. What do you think?! All photos courtesy of Anagrama.
