The design of the Demi Lamp emerged from designer Mattias Stenberg’s goal of highlighting the qualities of mouth-blown glass. Interestingly the best way he found to do this was by combining the traditionally produced glass with modern LED lighting technology. Composed of two glass domes (the top one with a small inverted neck which functions as a light reflector) and a connecting aluminum LED ring, the overall structure of the piece was kept quite simple thus allowing for a reasonable price point (around $450-$600 depending on size and color).

Available in two sizes and four color combinations, the Demi Lamp was produced for Design House Stockholm. For our Australian friends it is available through RoyalDesign.
