With paintings that look good enough to eat, Yago Hortal will give you your color fix and then some. Born in Spain in 1983, Hortal studied in Barcelona and Seville before he moved to Berlin in 2010. The titles of his paintings contain abbreviations of the streets where they were created and thus, in theory, would allow one to trace his life’s path. Interestingly, the florescent acrylic paints he works with are from his own country, as he finds the German paints lacking in strength. Hortal has already begun exhibiting internationally… definitely a star on the rise.
