These wild looking Gravity Stools get their unique shape through the interplay of man, gravity, the strategic placement of some strong magnets, and a special plastic mix. The largely self growing process has allowed the designer, Jólan van der Wiel, to create a small but efficient chain of production.
We couldn’t help but notice how this stool ties in with yesterday’s post on “Living Architecture” and this month’s feature on Zhang Zhoujie who bases his work on the Taoist principle of Wu Wei, which means action-less or lack of intervention. An emerging trend?
