In collaboration with the publisher Taschen, the Australian born and London based designer Marc Newson has recently published his latest monograph, “Marc Newson. Works“. The 610 page tome, with text in English, French and German, is touted to leave no stone unturned in its documentation of Newson’s impressive body of work, which ranges from his earliest designs to his most recent.
Seven years in the making, the book is formatted with encyclopedia style entries arranged chronologically by category (furniture, objects, interiors and architecture, timepieces and jewelry, transport and unreleased projects). It also includes an exclusive interview by Louise Neri. Sounds great but unfortunately this monograph is not likely to find its way onto many of our coffee tables, as the most affordable, canvas covered version, is priced at $1,000 and the Art Edition, leather version (shown above), is priced at $6,000! Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
