Taking inspiration from the sinuous lines of a whale’s vertebrae, Made In Ratio’s designer Brodie Neill digitally sculpted the Alpha chair to appear as if it emerged from a single block of wood. To ensure the chair’s seamless continuity of form, Neil designed a series of hidden joints and opted for a process of five axis CNC routing, by which the chairs form is carved around five axes from solid pieces of wood.
The Ellipse Table by Front for Porro stacks two partial ellipsoids to create one visually dynamic table. Love it!
The George’s Chair by David Lopez Quincoces for Living Divani combines past with present and delicacy with strength in its slim steel structure and wrapped wicker or rope dressing.
Poetic Lab’s new collection of desk accessories for Beyond Object boasts a striking and well weighted tape dispenser complete with mirror polished disks.
Eugeni Quitllet’s Dream Tools collection for Lexon offers crystalline landscapes for your desktop. Available in in a variety of colors including blue, orange, and smoke.
The PILOT chair by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby for Knoll breaks down into only six components, making its geometric form quick to assemble and compact for shipping.
Glas Italia and Tokujin Yoshioka have taken the glass cabinet to a whole new level of fabulous with the PRISM Cabinet & Bench. The nested pair are made from thick high transparency glass and beveled to create a prism-like sparkle.
Standing as the most recent incarnation of Ingo Maurer’s LED-based Dew Drop series, is his adjustable Dew Drops Floor lamp.
The Mikkel collection of blankets by Kristine Five Melvær takes inspiration from both the Bauhaus movement and traditional Norwegian weaving. The colorful line is manufactured from the finest Norwegian wool by Røros Tweed in Norway. Photo by Erik Five Gunnerud.
