As most any designer worth his salt will tell you, inspiration comes from just about anywhere and interestingly enough, the ordinary onion seems to be a surprisingly popular go to. Having made two previous posts on onion inspired design (here and here) my recent spotting of this bulb shaped looker, demanded another onion themed share. At just 4.75 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide the Saikai Toki Trading Inc. ‘Bell Onion’ is composed of 100% brass. Available through Creatures of Comfort for $85 it is a striking if tiny objet d’art.
