KNOWN FOR…
its chic stores, gorgeous buildings, and grungy history, Manhattan’s Meatpacking district has emerged in recent years as one of the hottest locations in the city. Spanning an entire floor of the iconic Porter House, Paris Forino and her team has designed a beautiful luxury condo that epitomizes the hip aesthetic and refined sensibility that defines the Meatpacking district.
WITH THE UNIQUE…
opportunity to combine three units into a single condo, Forino and her team radically rethought the space’s floor plan. The owner gave Forino and her team wide berth in the design process, allowing their creativity to shine. The result is a seamless merger of the three apartments into a sprawling 5 bedroom, 6.5 bath, 5,444 sqare foot living space.
THE OPEN…
floor plan makes the most of the newly integrated space, allowing guests to transition between a variety of living and dining destinations.
A THOUGHTFUL…
combination of Downtown chic and Uptown elegance, the condo incorporates striking details like custom fluted walnut and brass columns with understated elements including muted hardwood flooring and a clean-lined marble fireplace.
TO COMPLEMENT…
the condo’s unique architecture, Forino furnished the interior with a variety of bespoke and hand-picked items. In selecting these pieces, the team focused on the utmost quality while juxtaposing raw, industrial details with luxurious materials and finishes – echoing the apartment’s Downtown/Uptown vibe.
IN THE KITCHEN…
Forino opted for a smart palette of custom royal blue cabinetry and custom bronze metalwork. This scheme is carried through to the living room where an inlaid wood floor echos the subtle architectural details of the ceiling above.
UPON EXIT…
and entry residents and guests enjoy a private elevator marked by a sculpted bronze and glass door – an apt intro and close to a downtown living experience described by one seasoned realtor as the ultimate in “haute craftsmanship”*.
