With five years of practice under his belt, Nikhil is taking his design skills to a higher level with his stunning new debut for Paul Matter. Entitled TANGO, the highly geometric collection manages to walk that very cool line between functional and sculptural, contemporary and vintage. The forms themselves emerged from “playful experimentation with vintage lighting components.” and the materials follow suit in a grounded palette of copper, aged and blackened brass, and mouth blown glass.
Today, Paul Matter lighting is handcrafted one piece at a time out of Nikhil’s New Delhi studio. The brand stands committed to on-demand production offering a high degree of customization and, with it, an endless array of one-of-a-kind pieces. We can’t wait to see what this new brand will turn out next!
