Shareen Joel Design: Bar / Kitchen Inspiration

Scroll To View

Dressed in a palette of cashmere travertine, solid walnut, aged brass and blackened steel – I couldn’t resist sharing this natural goes clean-lined-contemporary bar design by Shareen Joel Design. Part of a larger renovation for Fenix Events (formerly Fenix Restaurant) the SJD team was tasked with completing the venue’s redesign/reno in a mere three months. The goal? To create a sophisticated, timeless space that highlights the picturesque surroundings and views of Australia’s Yarra River.

While this is clearly a hospitality space, I could see the design translating gorgeously to a residential kitchen. What do you think?

This is very close to what I am doing for my office in my new house, except my architect chose cerused oak. It took me some time to convince him that travertine desktops would look great.

Hi John. It sounds like it is going to be fantastic. I’m loving cerused wood these days.

LOVE those brass pulls on the cabinetry! Where are they from?

      Hi Michelle,

They are great aren’t they? I thought they might be custom but you could probably get more information directly from the designers at https://shareenjoel.com/.

      Thank you for reading!
