The Granada series above was inspired by the Moorish architecture of Granada Spain.

The Cordoba series boasts elaborate wood inlay patterns.

These images are selections from surface design specialist Stefan Hengst’s new Andaluz wallpapers. The collection was based on traditional Moorish architecture and is available in 4 series – Granada, Cadiz, Cordoba, and Sevilla. Stefan, a self professed designer and photographic poet, is inspired by pushing the boundaries of photography and challenging perceptions through design. His works explore the personal, social and cultural artifacts of our individual and collective lives – creating designs that question notions of beauty, decay, and desire. The Andaluz collection is slated to join the permanent collection at the Brooklyn Museum of Arts later this year. It’s never possible to share everything on D BLOG so swing by D’s Pinterest “walls” page here later today when we will post more from the Andaluz collection along with an additional new project Stefan just sent us!
