WHEN IT…

came time to outfit their new Tenafly home, recruiting firm owner Troy Gregory and wife/jewelry designer/curator Danielle Gregory tapped the talents of Manhattan interior designer Jessica Gersten. Gersten, known for her customer-centric approach and emotion-evoking interiors, worked hand in glove with the pair to masterfully integrate what was, at times, disparate sources of inspiration. From the duo’s appreciation for the earthy linear architecture of Utah’s Amangiri resort, to Danielle’s passion for metal, stone, and 1970s James Bond interiors – Gersten wove thier visions into a personalized residence brimming with personality and nuance…

NESTLED WITHIN…

one of New Jersey’s most desirable enclaves, the site owes its meticulous architecture to the keen eye of Anthony Minichetti. As for the soul of its interiors… that was the the domain of Gersten, who sensitively collaborated with all parties to establish an overarching vision and feel. The final look is a melding of warm orthogonal drama, jewelry-like glitz, and 1970’s chic.

IN THE DINNING…

room Gersten tapped into an earthy palate grounded in textured herringbone floors and 1970s style chairs from Living Divani. The ceramics vessels are by Gilles Caffier and the glittering 11 foot chandelier is a custom piece by Tom Kirk. Gersten continued this neutral color scheme into the kitchen where she juxtaposed slabs of natural stone with sleek contemporary cabinetry. Select elements like the smoke glass Studio Van den Akker lighting and leather/chrome Arete chairs give an aditional nod to the owner’s love for 1970’s decor.
