It’s Fashion Week here in NYC – so today, D is giving a nod to the event with coverage of one spectacular show. Two days ago, set in the heart of Manhattan within the cupola of Gotham Hall, Moncler introduced its latest line of high performance ski and après-ski wear to great effect. The Grenoble, Autumn-Winter 2013/2014 collection is just what you might expect from this uber stylish brand, and then some. Created in various shades of green – the collection’s color scheme is intended to represent the green of Alpine trees, symbols of life in a landscape where snow and ice reign supreme. Bravo Moncler on one thrilling show.
The stage, before it was set, consisted of 5 circular rows of steps, the highest of which was 10 meters off the ground.
307 male and female models, wearing the Moncler Grenoble Autumn-Winter 2013/2014 Collection populated the ring-shape stage.
All were dressed head to toe in the collection’s various hues of green.
The models look like time travelers…. but are they from the past or future?
Guests experience the show from the center of the room – completely encircled by a forest of models.
The mirrored ceiling reflects the Kaleidoscope like configuration of models below. The effect was enhanced by the accompanying light show (view the video below for the full experience).
