Set in the heart of Milan Italy, the Senato Hotel recently opened its stylish doors to a masterful mix of past and present. The fresh boutique-style design is the work of local architect Alessandro Bianchi who was tapped for the conversion by the property’s former residents – the Ranza family, who had resided in the 5-story neo-classical structure for over 100 years.
TRICKED OUT…in a luxe mix of marble, brass, velvet and wood – the 43 room hotel was custom designed down to the smallest detail and employed local craftsmen at every turn. |
THE HOTEL’S…symbol of a Ginkgo Biloba leaf references the trees outside while appearing throughout its interior in the form of beautifully handcrafted lamps. |
LASER CUT…metal doorways and details reference the city’s historic wrought iron gates. |
HISTORICAL…patinas add warmth and beauty to the Senato’s of-the-moment interiors. |
BALANCING…a striking duality of tradition and innovation the Renza family has responded to the times by opening their doors to the city – both sharing and maintaining a valuable legacy of history and place. |
