Located on the outskirts of a traditional Berber village in Tagadert, Morocco, lies Villa K, by the Paris and Marrakech based architecture firm Studio Ko. Formed from earthen blocks echoing the traditional structures in the area, the vacation villa sits nestled between two rugged slopes and looks out onto the Atlas mountains.
One approaches the home via a stairway and is led towards a dramatic black infinity pool. The house itself is a single story structure, shielded from the sun by a cantilevered pergola of iron and cedar wood.
All aspects of the design were kept clean and minimal with the interiors focusing outward onto views of the stunning Moroccan landscape.
Villa K comes outfitted with one guardian, a cook and a housekeeper, and is available for vacation rental through Villak-Maroc.com.
To view more beautiful work from Studio Ko, I recommend a visit to this lush 2007 residential design and a peek at their recent revamp of a Rue de la Sourdière apartment. Until Monday… have a great weekend!
