A few years back the owner of London’s Rove Gallery, Kenny Schachter, commissioned Zaha Hadid to create the Z-Car (a non functioning three-wheel car/sculpture). More recently, he has called upon the starchitect again, this time to create a vehicle for his personal use in the water. Contrary to what might be expected, Hadid has designed not a fluid streamline boat, but rather an asymmetrical, faceted gem-like structure. The monochromatic 8 meter long Z-Boat will make its debut in early 2013 in a limited edition of 12.
