IN TANDEM…
with last summer’s London Design Festival, designer Louisa Grey of House of Grey launched IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD with the help of friends, neighbors and creative innovator and expert in well being, Morgwn Rimel. The resulting holistic design pop-up showcased the work of emerging designers, artists, and makers in two stunning residential settings – the Blue House and Grey House. Shown here is the Grey House, an elegant North London townhouse, featuring a subtle palette of textures, finishes, and hues designed to evoke “a sense of warmth, elegance and calm.”

ALTHOUGH…the doors to Grey House closed in September, the inspiration lives on through these masterfully curated scenes. Beginning in the main room, a sculptural collection of Mass Productions seating takes center stage against a backdrop of bespoke panel curtains by Nest. On the far wall, a stripped down fireplace painted in soft taupe is flanked by a pair of Surface Wall Sconces by Studio Henry Wilson while a Terrazzo Vase & Plinth by Natascha Madeiski add to the room’s artistry.

IN ONE OF…the ancillary rooms, a contemporary kilim by London House Rugs adds geometric appeal – a theme that’s bolstered by the black Triangolo Chair by Frama Cph and the Organic Proportions, Sphere painting by House of Grey. A pair of sister paintings by House of Grey reside in an adjacent space just above a daybed and table by Frama Cph and flanked by a wild Plumeria from Urban Flower Co.

TO ROUND OUT…the holistic experience of Grey House, the team had it set to music with a custom playlist curated by Playlister. Because what space wouldn’t benefit from its own “lovingly programmed” music soundtrack? We recommend a listen while you consider a second peruse of this gorgeously transportative space.
