RESTAURATEUR…

Ricardo Giraudi has done it again with the opening of his eighth carnivorous Beefbar – this one located on Paris’ Rue Marbeuf, just steps fro the Champs-Elysées. The stunning new site breathes new life into a forgotten Art Nouveau gem originally crafted in 1898 by architect Emil Hurtré and painted by Jules Wielhorski for the Lamgham Hotel.

COME…

World War II, the artful interior was walled off to protect it from the Nazis only to be forgotten until its rediscovery in 1983. Though promptly registered as a historical monument, the site remained in disrepair until Giraudi tapped his favored partners in Beefbar design, Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet of the award winning Humbert & Poyet architecture firm.

HAVING…

previously designed Beefbars in Monaco, Hong Kong, and Mexico, Humbert & Poyet stood primed for the challenge of ushering this Parisian masterpiece into 21st century life. The design plan centered around the soul of the interior, with the meticulous restoration of paintings, architectural detail, and enameled ceramic panels.

FROM THERE…

the team took a bold approach – intermingling saturated colors, contemporary furnishings, Art Nouveau-inspired carpets, and Art Deco motifs, all in a vibrant nod to the city’s rich design history. For visitors and locals alike, the new Beefbar, Paris promises to be a feast for the senses.
